Abide & Move — Begin Here
Begin Here
Entering the rhythm of Abide & Move
Welcome.
There is no rush here.
No expectation to perform.
No requirement to feel "ready."
Abide & Move is a devotional rhythm that unfolds slowly — through Scripture, reflection, and lived obedience. It is not about finishing content, but about returning to God again and again.
What Is Abide & Move?
Abide & Move is a devotional rhythm rooted in Scripture and lived out through obedience.
At Abba Père, we believe faith is meant to be lived — not just worn, spoken, or studied.
In this rhythm, we learn to:
Abide — sit with God's Word and remain in His presence
Reflect — listen honestly and respond truthfully
Move — walk out what God reveals in daily life
Share — live faith within community and love
This is not about perfection.
It is about faithfulness.
A Gentle Word Before You Begin
If you find it difficult to quiet your mind, you are not failing.
Stillness is learned.
Attention is trained.
Grace is already present.
God is not waiting for you to arrive perfectly focused.
He is already here.
"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10
The Rhythm of Abiding
Awaken
Before reading or reflecting, you are invited — never required — to become aware of God's presence.
You may:
- Notice your breath
- Whisper the name of Jesus
- Place your hand on your heart
You may speak quietly:
"When I awake, I am still with You." — Psalm 139:18
God is already present.
Abide
Read the Scripture slowly.
There is no need to hurry.
If your mind wanders, gently return to the words.
If one verse holds you, stay there.
God is not in a rush.
"Abide in Me, and I in you." — John 15:4
Align Your Mind (Optional)
If your thoughts feel restless, you may speak Scripture aloud.
These are not affirmations.
They are agreements with God's Word.
Let truth settle you.
Let grace reorient you.
How to Use This Space
There is no right pace.
Some will return weekly.
Some will linger longer in one place.
Some will step away and return again.
All of this is welcome.
You do not need to "keep up."
You are invited simply to remain.
Where to Go Next
When you are ready, you may begin the journey.
You do not need to read everything.
You do not need to understand everything.
You only need to take the next faithful step.
Abba Père — Truth known. Truth lived. Truth worn.
