Week 1 — Abide in Me


Abide & Move Devotional Series

Scripture: John 15:4–5

" I can do all this through him who gives me strength." — Philippians 4:13

Awaken

Before getting out of bed, become aware of God's presence.

  • Notice your breath.

  • Whisper the name of Jesus.

  • Place your hand on your heart.

  • Quietly speak: "When I awake, I am still with You." — Psalm 139:18

Abide

Read the Scripture slowly. Let each word sink in.
If your mind wanders, gently return to the passage.
God is already present; you do not need to earn His attention.

Move (Embodied Response)

  • Lift your hands in surrender.

  • Sway gently to reflect gratitude.

  • Let yourself go as you say the Scripture aloud.

  • Dance or move lightly in joy before the Lord.

"David danced before the Lord with all his might." — 2 Samuel 6:14


Declaration

I remain in Christ. My life flows from Him.

Reflect

  • How did it feel to move while meditating on Scripture?

  • Did movement help release distraction or control?

Live It Out

This week, pause at least once to abide and move before starting your day.
